Co-op: Mobile ML Software Engineering

As a Mobile ML software engineering co-op at RideFlag, you will be a technically oriented application developer responsible for optimizing our ML Model for authenticating human faces as real. This will include model training, coding / programming and model delivery to the application developer teams.

About RideFlag

RideFlag was initially founded in 2014 and focuses on providing validation for High Occupancy Vehicle status (HOV) in vehicles. We make government policy around HOV benefits substantially more effective by eliminating HOV misdeclaration. RideFlag has developed a highly innovative, patented biometric smartphone-based occupancy count technology to incentivize and enforce HOV compliance. Our highly innovative technology is now being piloted or deployed by several major U.S. government agencies.

RideFlag was recently awarded a multi-phased, multi-year contract with the San Francisco Bay Area Department of Transportation (Express Lanes and Bridges). This will be one of the exciting projects that the successful candidate will help us manage (no travel required).

While the RideFlag office is located in Mississauga, during these COVID-cautious times, our team is primarily working from home.  When the COVID restrictions are lifted, the programming staff is expected to meet in the office at least once per week for group collaboration sessions.
